John A. Homsher of Vestal John A. Homsher, 80 of Vestal passed away on Thursday, July 22, 2010 at Binghamton General Hospital. He was predeceased by his brother Joseph and is survived by his wife of 60 years Nettie (Michaels) Homsher. He is also survived by a daughter and son in law, Sandra and Richard Buckley, sons, Jerald and Ronald Homsher a sister and brother in law Nancy and Rev. Uble Frost, a sister in law Terry Homsher, a brother and sister in law James and Dolly Homsher. His grandsons Justin and Bryan Homsher and Richard Buckley Jr. and a great grandson Corbin Wright. John retired from IBM Endicott and was a member of the Quarter Century Club. He was an avid fisherman and taught hunter training classes for many years in Vestal. He was also a Boy Scout Leader for many years. Among John's many loves were traveling, camping, gardening, fixing things and eating. Most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially attending his grandsons' sporting events. Funeral Services for John will be held on Monday, July 26, 2010 at 11 am from the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 765 Main St., Vestal, with the Rev. Cindy Wenzinger officiating. Interment will follow in the South Montrose Cemetery. The family will receive their friends on Sunday from 5 to 7 PM at the Funeral Home.
