Obituary of Catherine E. Carr

Catherine E. Carr, 63, of Vestal, went to be with the Lord Friday morning, May 11, 2007, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. She was predeceased by her parents, Francis and Mary Pello; two brothers, Francis and James Pello; and a sister, Donna Pollak. She is survived by her beloved husband of 45 years, Michael Carr, Vestal; her beloved children and families, Michael Jr. and Michele Carr, Endicott, Mark and Tiffany Carr, Oneonta, Rovert and Karen Carr, Apalachin; six grandchildren, Michael, Alison, Caitlin, Olivia, Matthew and Andrew; sister and brother-in-law, Maryann and Richard Darby, Binghamton; brother and sister-in-law,John and Barbara Pello, Austin, Tx; sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Lawrence Beach, Apalachin; and a brother, Victor Pello, Binghamton; mother-in-law, Josephine Carr; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, David and Colleen Carr; many nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved. She was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Vestal and was an instructor of the Religious Ed Program. She was an officer in the LIttle League Auxiliary and was very active in her children's sports. She struggled courageously for 15 years with kidney failure. The family would like to thank the Dialysis Unit at Binghamton General Hospital and everyone else who cared for her during her illness. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who was a kind, caring, gentle human being, who made the world a brighter place for all who knew her. Funeral services will be held Monday at 9:30 a.m. from the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, Inc, 765 Main St., Vestal, and 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, where a Funeral Mass will be offered. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 5-8 P.M.
