Obituary of Madeline A. Greenhalgh

Madeline A. Greenhalgh Of Endicott Madeline A. Greenhalgh, 85, of Endicott, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, December 10, 2007, in Newark, NY. She was predeceased by one brother, Alger Baldwin. She is survived by her children, Lynne (Haydn) Purkiss, Marion, NY, Sonny (Susan) Greenhalgh, Patterson, NJ, Wayne (Cheryl) Greenhalgh, Hendersonville, Tenn., Jan (Gloria) Greenhalgh, Houston, TX; 13 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Delores Baldwin, Endicott; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Norma Cunningham, San Jose, Calif., Jill and David Buran, Hamilton, NY; also several nieces and nephews. Madeline was a longtime member of the Central United Methodist Church of Endicott. She was a retired IBM employee with 25 years of service and a member of the IBM Quarter Century Club. Madeline was an accomplished organist and had a song (Homeland) published. A funeral service for Madeline will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 14, 2007, at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, Inc., 300 E. Main St., Endicott. The Rev. Douglas A. Clark, Pastor of Central United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 7:00 9:00 p.m. Those wishing may make contributions in Madelines memory to the Memorial Fund of the Central United Methodist Church, 17 Nanticoke Ave., Endicott, NY 13760.
