Obituary of Eloise E. Lane

Eloise Lane, 88, formerly of West Corners, passed away June 20, 2014. She was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Marcean, in 2004; parents, Helen Fuss and Clyde Brown; sons-in-law, Gary Humiston and Ronald Lunn. Eloise is survived by her children, Sharon Humiston, Lisle, NY; Ronald Lane, Waverly, NY; Barbara Lunn, Waverly, NY and Marcy (Gerry) Schutt, Dayton, TN; 10 grandchildren; 9 great grand children; 1 great great grandchild and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Also, special friends, Vern and Pauline Carmen. Eloise resided in West Corners from 1948-2007 when she moved to Newark Valley and spent the remainder of her life with her favorite nephew, William Shelley. She enjoyed spending time with her very special nephew David (Karen) Shelley and her cat Dunkin. She was a Past President and Life Member of the Endicott VFW and also a Life Member of the National VFW Home. Eloise loved watching the birds outside her kitchen window. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at 12 p.m. at Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, LLC, 300 E. Main St., Endicott. Pastor Gary Hinman of Nanticoke Baptist Church will be officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park at the convenience of the family.
