Obituary of Virginia Dare Wurth

Virginia D.Wurth, with loving family by her side, Virginia Wurth, age 88, went to be with her dear Lord and Savior on Mother's Day, May 10, 2015. She was predeceased by her parents, Myra Cornett and Grady (Ann) Cornett and brother, Arley (Claire) Cornett. She is survived by her loving husband of 71 years, George Wurth; daughters and their spouses, Norma (Gary) Olin of Calabash, NC, Patricia Twinam (J. Michael-deceased) of Clifton Park, NY, Joanne (Gary) Slick of Glendale, AZ, Lorie Wurth of Endicott, NY and Donna Wurth of Rutledge, GA. She is also survived by her brother, Grady (Marion) Cornett of Siler City, NC; 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Virginia was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed her flowers, camping and games - especially pinochle. Her trust was always in the Lord and she was a long-time faithful member of Memorial Park Baptist Church where she served as Deacon, a Sunday school teacher and choir member. She also enjoyed her activities with the Ladies Circle and was dedicated in attending weekly prayer meetings. Throughout the years, she followed Christ's example by humbly serving others in her- church and community. She was role model to her daughters and will be dearly missed by everyone. The family wishes to acknowledge the exceptional care given to her over the years by Dr. Gary Dean and the late Dr. David Martinez. Please join the family in remembering Virginia on Friday, May 15th from 4:00-6:00 PM at Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 300 E. Main Street, Endicott, NY. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, May 16th at Memorial Park Baptist Church, 1013 Front Street, Vestal, followed by a graveside committal service at Riverside Cemetery in Endicott. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Memorial Park Baptist Church.
