Obituary of Lucian C Snopkoski

Lucian C Snopkoski, of Apalachin, passed away Friday July 10, 2015 at the James G. Johnston Nursing Home. Lucian was born February 26, 1930 in Avoca, PA. He was predeacesed by his parents Michael and Mary Snopkoski, his sister Gloria, and his son Robert. He is survived by his wife Barbara, daughter and son-in-law Lisa and Bryan Letcher, and his sister Veronica. Lou served in the US Army during the Korean War, and rose to the rank of Captain. After his active duty he remained in the Army reserves white attending Penn State University, and Wilkes College in Wilkes-Barre, PA. While attending Wilkes College he started one of the first TV repair business' in that area. Lou was an avid remodeler. He was a retired employee of IBM, Owego, with 31 years of service, serving as a systems tester, computer engineer, software programmer, and manager. Retiring in 1988 he pursued his hobby of remodeling and electronics, and traveling. Lou and his family enjoyed many cruises to Bermuda, Alaska, and the Carribbean, with side trips to many islands along the way. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1PM from the Coleman and Daniels Funeral Home, LLC., 300 East Main St., Endicott. Father Donald Bourgeois, Pastor of St. Ambrose Church will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 11AM until service time at 1PM.
