Obituary of Cedric Ward

Cedric Ward, 96 years old, went to be with his Lord Tuesday, July 28th 2015. He was predeceased by his wife of 73 years, Lillian Jean Ward and his parents, Cedric E. and Florentine E. Ward. He is survived by his children, John and Marilyn Ward and Nancy and John Sarantapoulos. His grandchildren John J. and Kimberly Ward, Danielle and Joel Thomas, John T. Sarantapoulos, Vince and Karen Perricelli, 6 great grandchildren, Nathan and Hailey Ward and Jillian and Mackenzie Thomas, Kaylee Menard and Nicholas Perricelli, his sister, Jean M. Ward, his best and life long friend as well as brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Chuck and Margaret Louden, his niece and nephew who was very dear to him, Joan (Sweetie Pie) & Victor VanVestrout. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He loved his furry granddogs, Daisy, Dixie and Sparky. He also loved his special young friend, Davin, with whom he spent every Monday with watching cartoons. Cedric retired from IBM after 35 years of service. He proudly served his country during WWII in the United States Army Air Force in the Pacific Theater and endured many battles. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Aahmes Grotto and the American Legion. Our parents loved their family, their life and each other and as Dad said "I have had a good life." He will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved him. A funeral service will be held at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, LLC, 300 E. Main St. Endicott, on Friday at 10am. Burial will be in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endwell. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 6 to 8 pm.
