Obituary of Catherine W. Kacher

Catherine W. Kacher, 84, of Vestal passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at Willow Point Nursing Home in Vestal. She was predeceased by her husband, Mike R. Kacher; infant son, Donald; her parents, Frank and Mary Blair; four younger brothers; and infant great-grandson, Mason P. McKan. She is survived by her son, Michael F. (Denise) Kacher, of Vestal; daughter, Mary Kay (Jonathan) Yeager, of Binghamton; and daughter, Michele M. (Luke) Mickum, of Apalachin; grandchildren, Catherine (Ron) McKan; Suzanne (Jurell) Spivey, of Binghamton; Michael B. Kacher; and Elizabeth (Max) Conklin, all of NYC. Great-Grandma ("GG") is loved and missed by her great-grandchildren, Aydric, Jonathan & Makenna Spivey, and Oliva, Pierce & Cameron McKan, all of Binghamton. Also surviving are three brothers and four sisters, all from the Windber, PA area; best friend, Laura Mysnyk, and former daughter-in-law, Mary Kacher, both of Vestal. The family would like to thank the incredible staff at Willow Point North 1 for their kindness and compassion, going above and beyond to make Mom's final journey as peaceful and as dignified as possible. Services will be held at Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, LLC, 765 Main St., Vestal on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at 11am. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9am to time of service, officiated by the Reverend Ernie Steffensen. Burial will immediately follow at the Vestal Hills Memorial Park.
