Obituary of Sandra M. Gumble

Sandra "Sandy" M. Gumble, 68, of Apalachin, peacefully passed away at home on her birthday, September 24, 2016, after a courageous battle. Sandy was an avid Beagle lover. She also loved hummingbirds that visited and her numerous flower gardens that she created. She is a retire executive secretary from IBM and she guided many young people to paths of recovery with alcohol and other drugs. Sandy also had a passion for her community and had strong views dealing with Agenda 21 and the Common Core. She and her husband, Bill, owned and operated Gumble's Christmas Tree Farm in Nichols, NY, where she enjoyed meeting and greeting people. She is predeceased by her parents, John and Sophia Ceklynski; Paternal grandmother, Anna Sienkiewicz; and special aunt and uncle, Walter and Stella Suchowiecki. Sandy is survived by, her loving husband, William A. Gumble; sisters, Carol (Bill) Korutz and Jeanne (Mike) Paruta; brother, John Ceklynski; and several nieces and nephews, whom Sandy loved as though they were her own children. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, September 30, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, LLC, 300 E. Main St., Endicott. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Sandy's name to a charity of one's choice.
