Obituary of Betty G. Butterworth

Betty G. Butterworth 91, of Endicott, formerly of Philipsburg PA., passed away Thursday, November 24, 2016 at Mercy House. She was predeceased by her loving husband Rosewell Butterworth, Jr., parents Henry and Verna Schnarrs, brothers Ronnie and Lexington Schnarrs, sister in-law Shirley Schnarrs, and great granddaughter Rina Anne Weeks. She is survived by her children and spouses, Butch (Eileen) Butterworth, Owego, Karen Butterworth, Endicott, Bonnie (Zane) Smith, Marietta, NY, Connie (Terry) Lightner, Florida. Her grandchildren Sean (Becky) Butterworth, Melissa (Joe) Dixon, Crystal Romanowski, Danielle (Mike) Weeks, Nathan Lightner, Michelle McClenon, Jessica (Arnie) Salisbury, 19 great grandchildren, sisters, brothers, and several nieces and nephews. Family was a very important part of her life. She loved all of them dearly and each one had a special place within her heart. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church of Endicott, a retired employee of the Giant Market. The family will receive friends at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, LLC., 300 E. Main St. Endicott, Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. Burial will be in Philipsburg PA. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to the Mercy House of the Southern Tier, 212 North McKinley Avenue, Endicott, NY 13760 or the charity of one's choice.
