Obituary of Steven R. VanDyke

Steven R. Van Dyke, 54 of Binghamton, NY, died on January 29, 2017. He was predeceased in 2010 by the love of his life, Mary Ellen (Yudin) Van Dyke and his loving mother, Ruth Van Dyke in 2016. Steve is survived by his stepchildren Audrey and Jared Rossi, Binghanton, NY; his father William Van Dyke, Vestal, NY; a brother and sister in law, Thomas and Sue Van Dyke, Vestal, NY, a sister and brother in law, Donna and Victor Ticonchuk, Apalachin, NY; six loving nephews and nieces, Robert (Stephanie) and Patrick (Alana Gale) Ticonchuk, Alison and Nealy Van Dyke and one great nephew William Ticonchuk. Steve is also survived by many cousins and dear friends. Steve was employed for Universal Instruments for 20 years. He was a member of the St. Francis of Assisi Church in Binghamton, NY, and also a member of the Knights of Columbus. Many enjoyable years were spent out on the golf course, riding motorcycles and watching NASCAR races. Steve also enjoyed beating his friends at work at the daily game of pitch. He was a kind and good hearted person. Family, friends and his cats were his greatest joy in life and he had a smile that just made you wonder what crazy joke or a nickname he was thinking up next. Funeral and Interment Services will be held Sunday at 3 PM from the Coleman and Daniels Funeral Home LLC, 300 East Main St., Endicott. The Rev. Timothy Taugher Pastor of St. Francis of Assisi Church will officiate. Burial will be in Chenango Valley Cemetery at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home Sunday from 12 PM until Service time at 3 PM.
