Obituary of Philip J. Nacamuli

Philip J. Nacamuli, 86, passed away Friday, September 1, 2017 at 12:47 p.m. at Wilson Memorial Hospital in Johnson City, NY. Philip was born December 20, 1930 in Brooklyn, NY to Guy and Sophie (Akel) Nacamuli, the oldest of 3 surviving children. He graduated from New York Community College with an Associate's Degree in Chemistry. Phil was drafted in 1951 to serve in the US Army as a Heavy Weapons Repair Specialist stationed in Korea. Phil held the rank of Corporal when he received an honorable discharge in 1955. After leaving the military Phil met his beautiful wife, Victoria Maceiras and they were married in November 1956. Phil is survived by his wife, Victoria; sons Philip A. (Laura) Nacamuli; David (Mary) Nacamuli; Steven Nacamuli and daughter Lorraine Nacamuli; grandchildren, Philip, Caitlin, Alexa, Kevin and Giovani Nacamuli, siblings Louis Nacamuli and Claire Kirk as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In 1956 Phil began his professional career with International Business Machines repairing Electronic Printers in the banking industry. After a long and distinguished career, Phil retired from IBM as a Senior Service Planner in 1987. In his 30 years of retirement, Phil enjoyed spending time with family and friends, flying radio control planes, competitive target shooting and tinkering with his computer. Phil also served as the Director of the Broome County Sportsmen's Association. The family will receive friends at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, LLC, 300 East Main Street, Endicott, Tuesday September 5, 2017 from 2 - 4 p.m. There will be no services. Phil was a well-respected and loved individual who will be sorely missed by all those who knew him.
