

Obituary of Sandra J. Blair
Sandra Jo Blair, 73 of Apalachin, NY died peacefully with her family present on January 20, 2025 at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA.
Sandra was born on February 7, 1951 to Henry and Dortha Miranda of Fallbrook, CA.
She was predeceased by her father; Henry Miranda Sr and stepmother Ola Miranda, mother Dortha Thompson and stepfather Olin Thompson, brother Henry "Rick" Miranda Jr and brother in law Joseph Blair.
She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years Thomas Blair and their cat Sophia. Children; Susan (David) Bowen, Nicole (Jon) Scaptura, Rebecca (Alexander) Gomez. Grandchildren; Bethany (Christian) Bevelacqua and Ted Wells, Christi (Devan) Comstock, Thomas Bowen and Leslie Wilson, Kayleigh Van Gelder, Nicholas Scaptura, Xavier Gomez and great grandson Alexander Bevelacqua.
Sister Debra Miranda and nephew Roy Jones. Sister in law Virginia Blair and several other nieces, nephews and cousins.
She started working at Atlantic Design in 1977, by 1981 she moved on and worked at Hadco / Sanmina for 25 years as a Quality Control Inspector. Afterwards she worked as a RMA at Ideal Senior Living Center for 5 years. In 2004 she was diagnosed with an aggressive breast cancer that she caught early and fought hard. Being in remission for 20 years until now.
Besides spending time with her kids and grandkids she enjoyed cooking, sewing, crocheting, knitting. She loved carousels, bowling and spending time camping in Canada.
She was very crafty and would try anything she set her mind to. She loved watching the hummingbirds take a break on her porches, windchimes and lots of various flowers.
She was an amazing, loving and kind hearted person. Smart, witty and had such a beautiful soul. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her but her legacy will live on through her family and friends.
Viewing hours will be from 10am to 12pm on Tuesday January 28, 2025 at Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home in Apalachin, NY. Funeral Service to follow with Pastor Tom Briggs officiating. Burial will be at Vestal Hills Cemetery, Vestal, NY immediately after.
Our Family wishes to express our deepest and sincerest gratitude to all the ER, 2nd and 7th Floor ICU and 5th Floor Nurses and Caregivers, and all the Doctors in her care at Guthrie and Robert Packer Hospital. They went above and beyond at all times. Their act of kindness and thoughtfulness will never be forgotten.
