Obituary of David G. Flaccavento

David G. Flaccavento, 78, of Binghamton, went to be with the Lord, on Friday, February 7, 2025. He was predeceased by his parents; Gaudenzio and Laura M. Flaccavento, his sister, Yvonne DiRienzo, and brother, Gregory V. Flaccavento. He is survived by his nephews; Anthony F. and Cindy DiRienzo, Matthew G. and Jessica DiRienzo. David was a US Navy Veteran serving during the Vietnam War on the USS America CVA -66 Aircraft Carrier. He became a Shellback on April 24, 1968. David spent multiple years as a Volunteer Associate working alongside his lifelong friend James Stone at the Delux Swap Shop. David was highly respected and avid model train hobbyist spending many of his weekends at P&J's flea Market with his friend Dave Spicer talking about his hobby and love of trains. David also enjoyed spending time at the Legion Post 1305 as well as watching birds and critters with close friend Pat Lenga. David will be dearly missed by his lifelong friend Larry Kupper as well as friend and neighbor Ann Sweet. David was one of a kind with a very big heart. He is truly loved and will be missed by all. A graveside ceremony with military honors will be held on Friday May 2, at 10 am at Calvary Cemetery Section 32. A celebration of Life will be follow at 1 pm at American Legion Post 1305.
