Obituary of Jean L Letson
We thought of you today,
but that is nothing new.
We thought about you yesterday,
and days before that too.
We think of you in silence,
we often speak your name.
All we have are memories,
and your picture in a frame.
Your memory is a keepsake,
from which we'll never part.
God has you in his arms,
we have you in our hearts.
Jean L. Letson
Vestal, N.Y.
November 05, 1931 - March 29, 2025
Jean was born on November 05 1931 to her loving parents William and Della Letson. She left us on March 29, 2025. With a heart of gold, her family and God meant everything to her. After graduation, Jean worked at a local Attorney's Office in Vestal, N.Y. and helped out at The Vestal United Methodist Church Vestal, N.Y. till her retirement.
Jean was very proud of being a member of her church for 50 plus years, The Vestal United Methodist Church, Vestal, N.Y. She often talked about the summer days that were spent at the cottage on the lake, going fishing with her father in the wee hours of the morning, hoping they would come back with a string of fish to tell about. The Sunday dinners, where the family came together to enjoy her mother's famous cooking and her father's homemade ice cream. You could find her in her flower and vegetable gardens looking over them with such pride and joy as they blossomed and picking her homegrown vegetables. Jean spent her remaining years at the Riverview Manor Nursing Home where she had many good friends and called them her second family. She enjoyed playing bingo and you could find her listening to the music programs with her feet tapping and a smile on her face. She was always willing to lend a helping hand.
Jean was predeceased by her father William C. Letson, her mother Della M. Letson, her brother Robert C. Letson, nephew Douglas C. Letson and great niece infant Tammy L. Briggs.
Jean is survived by her nephew Robert W. (Sandra) Letson Navarre, Fla., her niece Priscilla A. (Wayne) Searles Waverly, N.Y. and niece Christina M. Wicker Sandford, N.C. and many great nephews and nieces.
As we say our goodbyes we know that Jean is in good hands, smiling down upon us, with God at her side.
