Obituary of Marina Garcia

Marina Sarmiento-Garcia peacefully passed away in her home on Tuesday, April 1st, 2025. Marina is predeceased by her husband Andrés Garcia and three of her sons David Garcia, Juan Garcia and Valentine Garcia. Marina leaves behind her remaining two sons, Andrés A. Garcia and Edwin W. Garcia along with her six daughters Irma E. Garcia-Gonzalez, Mayra C. Garcia-Fernandez, Nelly F. Garcia-Sexton, Esther Garcia-Torress, Evelyn I. Garcia-Jimenez and, Yahira Garcia-Beato. She further leaves behind four living generations of grandchildren.

Marina, better known to us all as "Mamá", was the light of her family. A true caretaker who nourished the spirits of those around her with her warm embrace and soft tone. Marina was a simple woman who never asked for much. A lush, vibrant garden and a vast, spiritually wealthy family was all that she'd request. Marina would often find comfort in staying up, studying her bible and ensuring that any visiting bellies were full. Marina was regarded as the "Queenbee" for good reason. She was a giver of life, protector of the home and mother to all whom she loved. Mamá you will be deeply missed, never forgotten and always honored while you take your seat beside God for eternity ever after.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 7, 2025 at 10 am, at Vestal Hills Memorial Park, Tower of Memories Chapel, Old Vestal Rd., Vestal, NY. The family will receive friends at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 300 E. Main St. Endicott, NY on Sunday April 6th from 5 to 8 pm.
