Julia was one of my FB friends. I never met her in person. Her posts stopped suddenly and I feared the worst and found this obituary. She was so wry, smart and observant. She inspired me. I wish now I had told her all of this! I wish I had known sooner about her death! I will really miss her. I am lucky to have known her, she made a difference.

Julia and I enjoyed the theatre together, and we were in a few shows together over the years. I always admired her quick wit and sense of humor. It is our job now to hold her in our memories and continue sharing her spirit with those who never had the chance to know her.

I'm deeply sorry to hear of Julia's passing. We went to Binghamton together, but it was really after high school that I truly came to appreciate her passion for the arts, people and pups. Julia was a fierce advocate for others and those most overlooked. I admired her strength and resilience that she so graciously demonstrated. Julia had an unique sense of humor that I enjoyed, and will miss her posts. She was a bright light. My heartfelt condolences to all that loved her. Here's to stirring up some good trouble in her honor .

Thank you, Julia, for your brilliance, dark humor, and friendship. I loved making music with you in Savoyards and working with you on your voice. I will be forever indebted to you for helping me work on my mind, because without your help, I would not be where I am in my life today. The one reason I am not completely gutted by you no longer being here, is that I know you are with Patrick now. All of my love to you, friend. Until we meet again and sing the songs and laugh the laughs. Be well in the eternity.

I am so sorry for your loss. I became acquainted with Julia through her work on the Summer Savoyards advisory board, and was always impressed by her sunny disposition and sense of humor even through her illnesses. She was always willing to do as much as she was able to improve the fortunes of the group. She will be missed. Carol Towers

Julia was one of my best friends growing up. She was a kind soul, fiesty, and funny. My heart aches, gone too soon. My thoughts go out to her family, love you.

So sorry to hear of Julia's passing. She was a dear friend in high school, a close neighbor on the west side of Binghamton, and we shared the stage (and screen!) in many productions and concerts at BHS. I'll always remember her terrific sense of humor and her engaging spirit. Sending good thoughts to her family.

Ugh there are so many memories of Julia I can share, my heart is so saddened by her passing. Julia and I met in 6th grade, after her transplant and were friends through high school. We drifted apart as friends often do but drifted back together when my daughter was born. I remember her dramatic flare in the hallways and her contagious smile (Julia always smiled). I hate to be cliche but for Julia, heaven just received a new star. I am sending all my love and thoughts to her family.

I will miss my sister-law, but I take comfort in knowing that she has no more pain and is in a better place. Wherever that place is, I know that it's full of loved ones who welcomed her with open arms. Rest easy, kiddo.
