On Saturday, April 5th, David B. Pierce, 84, of Apalachin died peacefully at his home in Endicott surrounded by his family. He is predeceased by his parents, Sarah and Bruce, his brother Richard and sisters Christy and Sammi. He is survived by his sisters Nancy, Timmi and Melody. He is also survived by his wife of 64 years, Tammy, and his loving daughters Terry (Scott) Ross, Tracy (Orlando) Olevano, Tammy Jo (Bill) Race, and Tonya Pierce. David was so proud of his 8 grandsons- David Ross(Natassja), Kyle Olevano, Andrew (Brittney) Race, Brian Olevano, Michael Ross, Jy Race, Jozell Race (Maria) and Jackson Pierce, as well as his 6 wonderful great grandchildren. In his early life, David participated in local theater and music groups and was a Lance Corporal in the US Marines. He was a small business owner for many years and was a master carpenter and builder. His handiwork can be found in homes and buildings throughout the area. In his golden years, David was active in many antique tractor clubs and the Marine Corp league of Tioga County, being one of the main toy collectors and organizers for Toys for Tots, a charity he believed in whole heartedly. He was known for his sense of humor and his "Davidisms," and his one liners filled with colorful language, perhaps not all appropriate for print! David was a force of nature with a huge sentimental heart and a brilliantly creative mind and he will be missed by all who knew him. A celebration of life will be held on Sat, April 19th at 4pm at the VFW on Main St in Owego, NY.
