Obituary of Roy W Darpino

Roy W. Darpino, 100, from Apalachin, NY, took the hand of his Savior on April 9, 2025. Roy is predeceased by his beloved wife, Ethel, his son, Bill, a sister, Lillian, two brothers, Joe and Mario, and great grandson, Judah. He is survived by his children, Val, (Don) Spiegel, Ed (Nancy) Darpino, Teresa, (Dan) O'Donnell, and daughter in law Debby Darpino, 13 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, 10 great, great, grandchildren, and many dear nieces and nephews. Roy graduated from Syracuse University and was employed for 41 years at IBM Corporation in Endicott, NY and Charlotte, NC. Roy and Ethel were snowbirds for over 30 years and had many friends in the Orange City, Florida area. Roy enjoyed wood working, hunting, golfing, puzzling and playing games with family and friends. He faithfully served and supported Ross Corners Christian Academy and was a member at South Apalachin Baptist Church. His unshakeable faith, love and devotion to his Savior and his family has become an example for all who knew and loved him. There will be a Celebration of Roy's Life at 2:00pm on June 21, 2025, at South Apalachin Baptist Church, 4116 Pennsylvania Ave., Apalachin, NY.
