Sharon Rose Connelly
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sharon Rose Connelly, 66, on Tuesday May 20, 2025. Sharon was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Sharon passed away surrounded by love, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, compassion and unwavering devotion to her family.
Sharon was predeceased by her loving parents, John and Rose Connelly, to whom she was deeply devoted. She is survived by her cherished siblings: John (Kelly) Connelly, Debra (Nick) Coddington, Patricia (William) Giblin, Joseph (Karen) Connelly. She also leaves behind her adored nieces and nephews: Jennifer (Eric) Holmberg, John (Amy) Connelly, Angela (Garrett) Price, Jessica Connelly, Nicholas Coddington, Katrina Macinski, Laura (Nate) Cleary, Dr. Zachary (Dr. Maggie) Connelly, Alexandria Connelly, and Anthony Connelly, as well as many beloved cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews and a great-great niece.
Sharon was known for her beautiful blue eyes, warm smile, and a gentle, giving heart. She held a special place in her heart for her family and especially treasured time spent with them in the Adirondacks on Fourth Lake and during summers in the family pool. These joyful moments brought her peace and happiness and are fondly remembered by all who shared them with her.
Sharon was a 1976 graduate of Johnson City High School and SUNY Broome with a degree in Accounting, Sharon was intelligent and detail-oriented, with a particular talent for numbers and finances. She worked for a time in the insurance field, where her precision and dedication were highly valued.
For the last few years, Sharon lived at Willow Point Nursing Home, where she was lovingly supported by her sisters, Patty and Debbie. They were strong and dedicated advocates, ensuring Sharon's needs were met and her voice was always heard. Their unwavering support, devotion, and love brought comfort and joy to Sharon and were a true testament to the deep bond they shared. The family would like to thank Willow Point, the Palliative Care Team at UHS Wilson, the staff of the Emergency Department and Main Tower 4 for the kindness and care they showed Sharon and her family.
Sharon's memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, who will forever be grateful for the light she brought into their lives.
Family will receive visitors on Tuesday, May 27th from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home 300 East Main St, Endicott, NY. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 28th at 10:00 AM at St. James Church, Johnson City, NY, with interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
