Obituary of Richard A. Counts

Rich, a beloved husband, father, brother, and grandpa, brought light and laughter to everyone who knew him. Richard passed away peacefully surrounded by his family after his courageous battle with cancer. He left behind a legacy of love, humor, and unforgettable memories. Rich had a gift for making people smile. Whether with a well-timed joke, a playful grin, or a quick-witted comeback, he brought joy wherever he went. His sense of humor was as much a part of him as his kindness and his deep love for his family. He was a devoted husband, always standing by the side of the love of his life. As a father, he led with warmth and patience, raising his children with pride and unwavering support. As a brother, he was loyal and caring; as a grandpa, he was a source of endless fun, laughter, and wisdom. Rich's laughter lives on in the stories shared around kitchen table, in the smile of his grandchild, and in the hearts of everyone lucky enough to know him. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Debbie, son Michael (Lisa Counts) his little buddy Alex, daughter Jessica ( Michael Aponte), brother Ray and sister Autumn (Kevin LaFlam) as well as several nieces nephews and an amazing family he gained in marriage. Per his request there will not be a service.
