It is with great sadness that the family of Donald (Don) R. Sisson announce his passing on July 17, 2025.

Don was born July 3, 1941 in Binghamton, NY to Donald C. and Ethel (Cole) Sisson, and received his formal education from the Vestal School System.

In June of 1963 Don and Mary Wilbur were married and settled in the hills of Choconut, PA, where they raised their family of four boys, started DRS Construction as well as dairy, beef and pig farming for many years.

Don is predeceased by his parents Donald and Ethel Sisson, brother, Raymond, brother-in-laws, Jerry Wilbur and David Cokely, and son, Todd.

Don is survived by his wife Mary, son's Timothy (Kara), Thaddeus, Thane (Lori); grandchildren, Andrew (Sara), Katie (Ron), Emily, Hunter, Neleah, Zylee, Zayaa and Zoddyn; great-grandchildren, Isabelle, Rowan and Madeline.

Also surviving are brothers, Thomas and Kenneth, sisters, Ethel, Jeanne (Delfino), Carole (Bernard) as well as Sister-in-law Doris, also many nieces, nephews and "sons of the heart" -- you know who you are.

Don worked in his construction trade including the day he was first taken ill. He was a master carpenter not only building and remodeling homes, but working in his shop building cabinets and furniture, as well as odd display pieces. When Don was not building something, he enjoyed working in his flower gardens and fishing Lake Ontario. That call of "Fish On" was lived for during salmon season.

The family will receive friends at Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 765 Main Street, Vestal, NY on Thursday, July 24th from 10:00 to 12:00 PM, with a service immediately following at noon. Burial will be in Quaker Lake Cemetery.
