June Adamek Obituary

June Arlene Adamek

Endicott, NY 13760

From June 12, 1927, to July 18, 2025

98 years young

June passed away peacefully surrounded by family members at Wilson Hospital. She was predeceased by her loving husband Paul (66 years together) and her sweet gentle daughter Kim. She is survived by her son Jeff. She went peacefully in the company of her son Jeff, her sister Joyce Storm, Nephews Steve Adamek & Bob Storm and her niece Alecia Adamek.

She graduated from Union Endicott High School in 1945 and attended nursing school offered by Ideal Hospital back in the day and worked full time as a nurse until having her kids Kim and Jeff. She was a member of the Ideal Auxiliary, Eastern Star and Friends of George F Johnson Library.

She was a member of Holy Nativity Lutheran Church for 60 plus years and loved singing in the choir. Holy Nativity closed their doors after 100 years; she then transferred to Our Savior Lutheran Church. Two to three times a year we would attend church at Salem Lutheran Church in Liberty PA where she was baptized.

She demonstrated her affection for family and friends through thoughtful gestures, such as preparing fresh coffee and a variety of home-baked cakes, cookies, muffins, and pies. The family & friends that gathered for fun and holidays always voted for her roast pork and sauerkraut. She was an excellent cook & baker, busting out great creations for 64 plus years.

She was a full-on lover of life, read 2-4 books a week, traveled to all 50 states and drove cross country 3 times by car and once by train. Hooked tons of rugs to the point she received a Blue Ribbon at the New York State Fair. She was accomplished in the art of knitting, crochet and sowing. Absolutely loved South Wellfleet in Cape Cod traveled there every summer for 60 plus years.

Special thanks to all her care givers at United Methodist Homes. The apartments assisted living and rehab teams.

Hard to put all the great things she did on paper so please come share your stories about June this coming Friday and Saturday.
