David Michael Finley, 37, of Chenango Forks, NY passed away peacefully with loved ones by his side after a long courageous battle with leukemia on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center in Buffalo, NY

David was born in Binghamton, NY to his parents Laurie and Scott Finley of Owego, NY on November 10, 1987. He grew up in Owego, NY and attended Newark Valley schools. He graduated from Newark Valley High School in 2006. He went on to attend college at Binghamton University and graduated in 2010 with a B.S. degree in Computer Science. He has held various positions as a software engineer in the Binghamton, NY area and was most recently employed by ENSCO Avionics in Endicott, NY. David was a devoted husband and proud father. Most of his time was spent entertaining his three young children whether it be playing outside, playing games, reading with them, or attending their events. David loved to play games of any type, but his specialties were video games and poker. He always seemed to have luck when it came to winning games and gambling.

David is survived by his wife, Amy of 8 years, 6-year-old twins Evan and Catherine, 4-year-old son Connor, mother Laurie Finley, father Scott Finley, brother Steven and his wife Lisa of Glastonbury, CT, sister Abigail Finley and her husband John Morton of Mount Royal, NJ, paternal grandparents George and Patricia Finley of Orange, CT, as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephew. He is predeceased by his maternal grandmother Mary Edith Graham and maternal grandfather Thomas Edward Graham.

Funeral service will be held at Our Saviour Lutheran Church in Endwell, NY on Saturday, August 2, 2025 at 10 am. A private burial will follow. Calling hours will be held at Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home in Endicott, NY on Friday, August 1, 2025 from 4-7 pm.
