Alice J. Bowen Obituary

Alice Bowen, 94, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 15, 2025 at home, with family at her side. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Sarah Prince (Wegner). She was predeceased by her sister, Lucille Church, and brother, Raymond Prince. She is survived by her children; Richard (Beverly) and his children, Richard III and Travis; his stepchildren, Kim, Chris, and Michelle, Gordon and his son Forrest (Amanda) and stepchildren Michael and Justin, Sharon (Robert) Bartlett and children Jesse, Richard, and Dylan Pizzardi, Gary (Kathy) and his children Gary Jr., David, Jonathan, Greg (Lynne) and his children Sarah (Ben) and Riley and his stepchildren Bradley, Rebecca and Cortney, 9 great grandchildren and a great grandson due to arrive in November as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Alice retired after working over 35 years, first at Ideal Hospital then at Wilson Hospital (now UHS). After her retirement, she spent her winters in Florida at Settler's Rest in Zephyrhills where she was very active in the park and many volunteer positions not only in the park but other organizations as well. One year was "Queen" Of The Park, voted by her peers to represent the park in many activities. Her favorite past-times were playing BINGO with her friends in Florida and NY. But her greatest joy was spending time with her family camping at Country Hills in Marathon.

The family would like to thank Dr. Rai and his staff for all the care that was given to our mom, the hospice team, Milly, Chris and Naomi for the care they gave our mom so she could be at home, and the Union Volunteer Ambulance for your transports when we needed you. Donations in her memory may be sent to Guthrie Lourdes Hospice.

The family receive friends at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 300 E. Main St. Endicott, NY on Saturday September 20, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. with funeral service to follow.
