Doris was a caregiver almost her entire life, starting with helping with her younger siblings. She was always there for her children and her granddaughter. She was a wonderful aunt to her nieces and nephews. She provided care for her mother up until Gladys passed away. She went on to provide care for her sister and brothers as they aged.
Doris retired from Endicott Johnson Corporation and then went on to work various jobs around town. She welcomed guest at the front desk of the Econo Lodge in Endicott for many years. She also worked at the Ideal Living Center in the Activities Department for a few years. The family often joked that she was older than the residents she worked with.
The family would like to thank the West Wing Staff at Willow Point Nursing Home for the compassionate care they provided Doris. The staff and residents there became like family to her.
