Peter J. Vallese, 97, of Endicott, passed away on Sunday, October 19, 2025 at home. He was born in Endicott, NY on April 12, 1928. He was predeceased by his parents, Peter Geatano and Hazel Iona (Gunderman) Vallese, his wife Waneta Virginia (Skinner) Vallese, his siblings J. Cora (Joseph) Skaritza, Florence L. (William) Fiduccia, Harold (Mary), Pauline (Tom) Nesmith, Rudy E., Rolly R. He is survived by his children Janice E. (Jospeh) Cornell, Peter J. Vallese Jr., Robert A. (Cerise) Vallese, grandchildren; Alysen (Cornell) Parsons, Donna Vallese, April Cornell-DeAngelis, Rachael Vallese, Adam Vallese, Michael Vallese, Bryan Vallese and great- grandchildren Evan Okrasinski, Jeffrey Vallese, Ella Parsons, Jospeh Parsons and Dylan Cornell-DeAngelis and sisters-in-laws Delores and Eve Vallese.

Peter graduated from Vestal High School and was among the first class of the Institute of Applied Arts and Science (BCC) graduates. He worked at E.H. Titchener, Links, IBM and had a small dairy farm. He was the treasurer of the Vestal Historical Society and the Memorial Park Baptist Church in Vestal and active in the Farm Bureau. Peter loved basketball and was awarded an honorary member of the BCC Basketball Team and was on the Empire State Senior Volleyball team until he was 85. He also loved camping, traveling, any form of polka, and square dancing. He was passionate about keeping extended family together and spent years exploring family genealogy.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday at Memorial Park Baptist Church, 1013 Front St., Vestal, at 10 a.m. The family will receive friends at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 765 Main St., Vestal on Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. Burial will be held at Vestal Park Cemetery following the funeral.
