Kenneth J. Manzer Jr. Obituary

In loving memory of Kenneth James Manzer Jr.

Kenneth James Manzer Jr., 77 of Apalachin, New York, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on 11/7/25.

Born and raised in Gloversville, he later made Apalachin his lifelong home, where he built a life full of love, laughter, and family. He was a man of many talents and simple joys. He found peace and joy in gardening, cooking and baking, cake decorating, music, art and painting, playing word games, and collecting bells. He was truly happiest surrounded by his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He loved celebrating holidays with his family, especially Christmas, his favorite time of year. One of his great joys was when he could spend time fishing at Peck's Lake, a place that brought him great serenity throughout his life.

Kenneth was predeceased by his beloved wife, Sally Jo Manzer, his mother Margaret Manzer, and his daughter Cecelia Kilb, as well as all of his siblings. He is survived by his daughter Becky-Lynn Jackson (Mathew Jackson), his son Michael Manzer, his cherished grandchildren Andy Livingston, Bethany Adams (Sebastian Adams), Justin Livingston (Candice Livingston), Candice Wade (Jimmy Wade), Trace Jackson (Sarah Jackson), and his adored great-grandchildren Noah, Emily, John, Fin, and Josiah who knew him simply as Papa.

Kenneth will be deeply missed by all who loved him. His warmth, kindness, and sense of humor touched everyone in his life. Whether he was hanging holiday decorations or casting a line at the lake, he brought joy and laughter to those around him. His love for family ran deep, filling gatherings with comfort and happiness. Though he is gone, the memories and traditions he shared will forever remain in our hearts.

"And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain" - Revelation 21:4
