Jane S. Riechers Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jane S. Riechers on November 22, 2025, with family by her side, at the age of 100 years. She was born in Pittston, Pennsylvania on December 22, 1924. Jane was predeceased in death by her beloved husband, Bob, her parents William and Iva Shafer, her stepmother, Thelma, brothers, Bill and Bryce, sister, Lois and stepbrother, Charlie. She is survived by her children, Brian (Irene) and Barbara (Dan); her grandchildren, Brent (Kim), Kent (Lynn), Bonnie Jo and Bobbie Jo; her great grandchildren, Daniel (Emily), Katarina (Donovan), Gregor, Stefan, Victoria, Otto, Thomas, Evan and Braden; her great-great grandchildren, Harlow, Bianca and Lucien. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Jane and Bob enjoyed spending time at their cottage with their grandchildren and loved the Cayuga sunsets. Jane liked to knit and sew, making countless outfits for her grandchildren. She also enjoyed doing crosswords puzzles, playing solitaire and playing Michigan rummy. Thank you to her neighbors Marcia, Tom and Aaron for their kindness and always being there for our parents. At Jane's request there will be no services. Interment will be at Riverhurst Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, Endicott, New York.
