John (Jack) W. Greene passed into the arms of Jesus on December 9, 2025 at the age of 93. He was born April 30, 1932, the only child of Bessie and Glenn Greene in Massena NY. He was predeceased by his first wife Patricia and his second wife Joan and a great-granddaughter Amelia. He married Patricia Cook on October 10, 1953 and they had two children. John served in the US Army for 2 years. He got a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Clarkson College of Technology and a Master's degree in engineering management from Syracuse University. John worked at GE in Schenectady NY for a short time before moving to Endicott to work for IBM, where he retired after nearly 30 years of service. After Pat's death in May 1991, John married Joan Dufresne in January 1993. John and Joan were married for nearly 30 years until Joan's passing in late 2022.
John is survived by his daughter Lisa Allen (John) of Endicott NY, son Thomas Greene (Janet) of Orleans, Ottawa Canada, step-daughter Sue Eastman (Herb) of Cundy's Harbor Maine, step- son Chris Dufresne (Laurie) of Norfolk NY, step-daughter Betsey Eurto (Paul) of Norfolk NY, and step-son Pat Dufresne (Lori) of Vestal NY, along with 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
John had a servant's heart and cared for multiple family members over his years of life. He always enjoyed spending time with family, especially during the holidays. John loved Jesus and in his final years he spent many hours studying the Bible and drawing close to his Lord and Savior.
