Marie Elaine Smith, 72, left us on December 14, 2025, in Endicott, New York while supported by Coventry Staff, Hospice, and loving siblings in her home. Born on March 2, 1953, in Binghamton, New York, Marie's life was a quiet testament to resilience, grace, and the power of love expressed without words.

Marie was the beloved daughter of Thelma and LeBon Smith, both of whom preceded her in death. She is lovingly remembered by her siblings: Barry Smith, her older brother; Bradley Smith, her younger brother; Lisa McClellan, her younger sister; Lois Long, her younger sister and extended family members.

Though life presented Marie with many challenges, she met each day with a spirit that touched everyone around her. Known as a "Silent Angel," Marie had a presence that spoke volumes—her eyes and smile conveyed warmth, joy, and connection beyond language. When she was young her father often said, "Marie speaks to us with her eyes." Those who knew her understood the depth of emotion and understanding she shared through these simple yet profound expressions.

Marie spent her later years at Coventry House with her cherished housemates. This home became a sanctuary where she was surrounded by care and compassion. The devoted caretakers at Coventry House were more than caregivers—they were angels who provided not only for Marie's needs but also enriched her life with dignity and affection. Their unwavering support ensured that Marie experienced comfort and quality in every moment.

Her journey was marked by quiet strength and the enduring bonds of family and community. While words may have been few, the impact of Marie's presence was deeply felt by all who had the privilege to know her. May Marie Elaine Smith's memory bring peace to those who loved her and inspiration to all who recognize the beauty in silent strength.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, December 21, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home 300 E Main Street. Marie's family welcome all to remember Marie during calling hours. After, a private Funeral Service will be held from 01:00 PM to 02:00 PM at the same location.
