Sally Lea (Zimmerman) Guydosh, aged 79, of Apalachin, NY passed away on December 16, 2025, from ALS. She was surrounded by family while scripture was read and prayers were said. Sally is predeceased by her parents, Raymond and Leona (Meyer) Zimmerman; her brothers, Raymond and Warren Zimmerman; and first husband, Rick Morrison. Sally is survived by her husband of 50 years, Nicholas Guydosh, and her three children: Nicholas Guydosh, Sarah Elliott (Ryan Elliott), and Susan Guydosh. She also has four grandchildren: Gretchen, Grace, Victoria, and Rhett.

Sally was born in Grand Haven, MI. Her faith was important to her throughout her life. Growing up, Sally had many cousins and would fondly recount the time she spent with them. In 1968, she graduated from Grand Valley State University, and, at only 22, bravely moved to Endicott to begin her life as an IBM systems programmer. She met Nicholas at IBM in 1973 and loved their time spent traveling in Europe, the Middle East, and on the West Coast. Sally loved folk music and even owned a guitar.

Nicholas and Sally were married in 1975 and had their first child in 1978. Sally was a dedicated mother. She led Sunday school and Scouts and managed a very busy schedule. Her kids could always count on having a full lunch box ready each day. She also loved her grandchildren and never missed an opportunity to send them a card or gift.

Eventually, Sally took a secretary position at Waterman Nature Center in Apalachin. She loved all things nature and enjoyed the job and time with the volunteers. She was also the secretary for the Apalachin Fire District for 15 years. Sally was active at the First Baptist Church in Owego and had many dear friends in these organizations and throughout the community.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until noon on December 22, 2025 at the First Baptist Church in Owego. A funeral service will follow immediately afterwards. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Waterman Conservation Education Center, 403 Hilton Rd, Apalachin.
