Nancy C. Posten Obituary

Nancy C Posten born December 24, 1942, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 82 on December 6, 2025.

Nancy was a strong, kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother and gigi. Nancy enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, cherishing all the special moments and events. She made the best apple pie and was always asked to bring the dessert. If you got the one eyebrow raise, you were either doing or saying something questionable. Nancy loved to feed and watch the birds, especially the hummingbirds, she also loved to garden and really enjoyed her flowers. You would often find her out working in the lawn or on the front porch enjoying the quiet and the place she and Jim had worked so hard on. She and Jim would often get in the car and go on short trips, just to get away for a few days.

Nancy is survived by her daughters Carol Oates, Suzette Hillis (Randy), Kathleen King, and Cheryl Brozzetti, along with her grandchildren Chelsea, Justin, Lisa Lori, Adelaide, Alessandra, Annabella and Kristen, great grandchildren Otto, Carson and Brittany. Nancy is also survived by her siblings Joan, Charles, David (Mary Anne), and Donny.

Nancy was predeceased by the love of her life James Posten and his son Samuel, parents Charles and Marian Nye, sons-in -law David Oates and Brett King, grandchildren Jeremy and Shane, great grandson Preston.

Nancy worked for many years at GE and the at Ametek in the parts distribution and inventory department. Her last jab was a part time cashier/clerk at Price Chopper in Montrose, she just enjoyed being around people. Nancy will be greatly missed by her children and grandchildren and all that knew her.

At Nancy's request there will be no services, the family will have a private service and burial at a later date. A Celebration of Life will be held at a date to be determined.
