On Sunday January 4, 2026 Bryan unexpectedly gained his wings. Bryan was predeceased by his parents, Margaret and Charles Takacs. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Debra Takacs, his 4 children, Mike Cleveland (Brittany Scymanski), Gina Takacs (Richard Buckley), Jessica (Chris) Chambers and Anthony Takacs (Arabella Lajaunie) and his brother Scott Takacs (Cathy Guccia) He is also survived by his "adopted daughter" Pamala Menard, in laws, Donald (Maryann) Cleveland and Diana Cleveland and several other family members. Bryan was the proudest Papa to 7 grandchildren, Joseph, Johnny, Emerson, Leevi, Amelia, Mya and Alexander. Bryan had the biggest heart. He would give the shirt off his back if you needed it. He also had a love for animals. His best bud was his dog Reno.
Bryan was a proud Army Veteran stationed in Hawaii and Japan. He spent the past 28 years of his life working at Maine Endwell School District. He was very dedicated to his work! He was also employed out at Most Holy Rosary Church for 20+ years. If he wasn't at his full time job, you could usually find him at the church! Over the years he has left a lasting imprint on so many people!
Bryan had a deep love of sports also. He spent every home game for the Black Bears Hockey sitting in his season ticket seat. There he met some wonderful people who quickly became his friends. He also had a love for the New York Rangers and New York Giants.
The family will be welcoming friends and relatives on Wednesday January 7, at Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 300 E. Main St. Endicott, from 4 to 7 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Thursday January 8, at Most Holy Rosary Church, 2596 Main St. Maine, NY at 2 p.m.
