Michael David Bridges, 55, of Endicott, NY, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on January 4, 2026.
Born on January 29, 1970, in Maine, NY, Michael lived a life defined by devotion, resilience, humbleness, and an unwavering love for the people around him.
Michael was a loving and devoted husband and father, the kind of man whose presence made others feel safe, supported, and understood. Michael was a proud member of AA, carrying on his journey with honesty and strength, and offering guidance to many who walked a similar path. A true jack of all trades; Michael could do just about anything. He approached every task with patience, skill, and quiet confidence. His hands were always busy, his heart always open. Too humble for anything but a thank you, lifting all others above himself.
A lifelong sportsman: Michael found peace in the outdoors. Whether he was fishing, hunting, or simply taking in the stillness of nature, he felt the most like himself under an open sky. He had a gift for leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met, often becoming a father figure to those who needed one most.
Michael was predeceased by his parents, Howard Bridges and Judith (Glynn), his brother Brian, and his daughter Destiny. He is survived by his wife of 32 adventurous years, Jennifer, who was the center of his world. He was the youngest of eight children and is survived by his siblings Cathy (Dan) Austin, James (Mary), Joan (Mark) Whittington, Raymond (Kelly), Mark (Wendy), and Steven (Beth), as well as many nephews and nieces.
He leaves behind his children Jessica, Jordan, Rick (Rebekah Van Tol), Dylan (Amber), as well as three grandchildren—Kielee-Anna, Dylan Jr., and Reese—who brought him endless joy. He was eagerly awaiting the arrival of his fourth grandchild, Azalea, due in May.
Calling hours will be held on Friday Jan. 16th from 10am until noon at Family Life Church 157 Clark St, Vestal,13850.
