Barbara Ann Higginbotham, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side, on January 27, 2026 at the age of 84. Where there is deep grief, there was great love… She was a woman defined by her kindness, selflessness, and unwavering devotion to others. Throughout her life, she consistently put the needs of her family and loved ones before her own, offering support, wisdom, and love without ever expecting anything in return. Her home was always a place of comfort, warmth, and generosity, where everyone felt welcome and cared for. Barbara found joy in the simple things, like cooking her famous lasagna, feeding the birds, and rereading the same book several times. Her quiet strength and compassionate heart touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, sacrifice, and grace that will continue through generations. She is survived by her devoted husband Jerry, her loving daughter Kelley, her granddaughters Ashley (Harlow) and Peyton (boyfriend Gage), her great grandchildren Parker, Jacob, RJ, Camden, her brother Sal (Peggy) and several nephews and niece. In keeping with her wishes, no formal services will be held. The family asks that acts of kindness be performed in her memory – just as she lived every day of her life. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
