Sherry Lee (Price) Holt

Sherry L. Holt, 88, of Vestal, NY, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, February 1, 2026.Sherry was born on July 12,1937, Sherry was predeceased by her husband, David Holt; her mother, Leora Tanner; her father, Sherman Price; and her sister, Marjorie Baker. She was surrounded by her children: Valorie Hudson (Ron), Pueblo, Colorado; Jeffrey (Penny) Holt, Greene, NY; and Rachel (Paul) Crisman, Binghamton, NY. Sherry's love grew with each addition to her family, beginning with her grandchildren: Crystal Rauch, Amber (Jason) Reisman, Kayla West, David (Hilary) Sevey, Shelby Holt, Nicholas Holt, Caitlin (Matthew) Cavanaugh, and Jennica (William) Thierfelder. Great-grandchildren: Dylan Nichols, Dezirae Rauch, Cerene, Kai, and Cade Reisman, Jackson and Lila West, Liam, Kinsley, and Colton Sevey. Great-Great Granddaughter: Violet Sherry Villa. Her special niece Kathie Young and many nieces and nephews.

Sherry was a member of Vestal United Methodist Church for 55+ years and served as the original Acolyte Coordinator for 25 of those years. Sherry found joy in many things in her lifetime, reading murder mystery novels, playing cards for hours, beating the pants off us all in Scrabble, and watching her shows. She maintained close ties with the "Doris Avenue" neighbors over the years and treasured their friendships.

Sherry was a retired Vestal School Crossing Guard, with 23 years of service. We would like to thank the caring staff at Senior Living at Ideal – Tulip and Lily Court for their support during our mother's brief stay.

A celebration of her life will be held Saturday February 7,2026 at 1 PM at Vestal United Methodist Church, 328 Main St, Vestal. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. Friends may call Saturday from 12 Noon until service time at 1 at the church
