Rhonda J. Austin passed away peacefully on February 18, 2026, at Mercy House.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lynette Austin and Carl Staples; her son, Scott Austin; her beloved grandchildren, Aubrie, Alana, and Logan; and many other cherished family members and friends.

Rhonda worked as a lab technician and enjoyed traveling the world, reading, working on crossword puzzles, and spending time with her family, friends, and cats.

In accordance with her wishes, no funeral service will be held. A celebration of her life will take place on February 28, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at New Heart Alliance Church, 293 Tobey Road, Apalachin, NY. A time of fellowship with Rhonda's family will follow the service.

The family welcomes photos and stories to include in her memorial book. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mercy House of the Southern Tier.
