Amy Elizabeth McNeil, 39, of Warren Center, Pennsylvania, passed away on March 25, 2026. Born on March 6, 1987, Amy was a loving daughter, sister, fiancée, aunt, and friend whose warmth and playful spirit touched everyone who knew her. She is survived by her devoted fiancé, Kevin Slawta; her mother, Mary Kay McNeil; her father, John McNeil; her sister, Anna Burton, and brother-in-law, Chris Burton; and her cherished niece and nephew, Cecilia and Anthony Burton. Amy dedicated her career to caring for animals as a veterinary technician, a role that perfectly reflected her deep compassion and love for all creatures. She had a special place in her heart for dogs and adored her two guinea pigs, who brought her endless joy. Known for her vibrant personality, Amy loved all things pink and found magic in mermaids, rainbows, and flowers. She carried a childlike wonder throughout her life and had a special gift for making others smile, often giving her loved ones silly nicknames that became treasured memories. Amy was eagerly looking forward to marrying the love of her life this summer, a day she spoke of with excitement and joy. She will be remembered for her kindness, her laughter, and the bright, colorful light she brought into the lives of those around her. Amy's love will continue to live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will be forever cherished.
A Celebration of Amy's life will be held on Saturday, April 11th from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Hampton Inn Vestal, located at 3708 Vestal Parkway E., Vestal, NY 13850.
There will be an additional Celebration of Life on August 22, 2026 at Lone Oak Brewery in Olney, MD from 12:00 to 4:00 PM.
