David Francis Haines
The earthly life of David Francis Haines ended on April 2, 2026.
Dave, 88, was the son of Pearl and Karl Haines. He was predeceased by his wife of 63 years, Mary Jane (Roosa) Haines, and his 7 siblings.
Dave graduated from Union-Endicott High School in 1955, where he was a member of the Future Farmers of America. He also belonged to the Road Ravens Car Club.
He married the love of his life only 6 days after she turned 18. Together they attended the sports and other activities of their children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. They journeyed to all 50 states, as well as to Canada, the Caribbean, and Ireland. Dave belonged to Square Deal Rod and Gun Club and was a lifetime NRA member. He was an avid Yankees fan.
Dave was employed by Lacey's as a delivery driver/repairman; O'Brien Oil, as an oil burner repairman; and IBM, Loral, and Lockheed Martin as a machine operator and powerhouse worker.
Dave is survived by his daughter, Shirley (Ronald) Pease, his son, David (RoseAnn) Haines; 6 grandchildren: Lisa (Joseph) Kuhns; Brian (Vivian Chan) Haines; Patrick (Anna Beasley) Pease; Sean (Amanda) Pease; Jessie Haines; and Amanda Bradley; and 5 great-children: Kalgin and Christian Kuhns; Elle and Marie Beasley Pease, and Preston Pease.
On Monday, April 6, calling hours will be held on from 10-11 a.m. at Coleman and Daniels Funeral Home LLC, 300 East Main St, Endicott, with a celebration of life service at 11 a.m..
The family would like to thank the staffs of Elderwood Vestal and Mercy House for the excellent care given to Dave.
