Althea Nancy Zayleskie (Williamson), 89, passed away on April 10, 2026.
She was the daughter of Althea and Dr. Harry Williamson, Tamaqua PA. She is predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Charles Zayleskie Sr., sister-in-law Deborah Williamson (Cahill) and nephew Ryan Williamson. She is survived by sons Charles Jr. (Elisa) and Mark Sr. (Kathy), grandson Mark Jr., granddaughter Rachel, brother Samuel Williamson, sister and brother-in-law Grace and Bill Varano, cousin Jack Davis (Sandy), nephews Glenn Davis (Kim) and Keith Davis (Sandye Corcoran), cousins Paul Brown, Clif Brown, Pam Trombino, Georgia Brown, Maralyn Watson and Donald Wedekind, nieces Kathleen O'Malley (Robert Brown) and Eileen (O'Malley) Margolis (Scott).
Althea ("Nana") was the family's anchor. She was an unconditionally loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed her flowers, feeding and watching the hummingbirds, knitting and crocheting baby blankets and prayer shawls, Penn State football and the Kansas City Chiefs, having lunch dates with her girlfriends and hosting family holiday gatherings.
Althea graduated from Tamaqua High School and Reading Hospital School of Nursing.
She worked at Wilson Memorial Hospital. She was a longtime member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and later, Christ the King Lutheran Church. Althea made lasting connections with many people. With the closest, she closed every visit and phone call with "I love you."
