Edith Ligouri Bonventre, 97, of Endicott, NY, passed away peacefully at Lourdes Hospital on Sunday, May 10, 2026. She was predeceased by her husband, Jack Bonventre, her parents, Louis and Salma Ligouri, her sisters, Jennie Lozzi, Jospehine Fiacco, Lillian Fiori, Mamie Fiacco and brothers Raymond and Joseph Ligouri.

She is survived by her sons; John (Joanne) Bonventre, and Robert Bonventre, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Edith was a lifelong member of St. Anthony of Padua Church, Endicott. She was known as Mrs. B. to many children as a day care provider. Edith was a Union-Endicott High School graduate and worked for John Hancock Insurance prior to becoming a Mother. She enjoyed her trips to Tioga Downs and traveling with friends and family.

The family would like to thank Sister Anisia, her niece, Joanne Sarra, Deacon Bill Matts and neighbor, Don McBride.

As per Edith's request, there will be no calling hours. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday May 13, at 11 a.m. at Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 300 E. Main St. Endicott. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Francis Ministry, c/o Sister Anisia Muthoni, 906 Jenkins St. Endicott, NY 13760, in memory of Edith.
