Prior to marriage Joe was drafted and served with honor in the Army during the Vietnam War. Upon returning home from war he purchased his classic car, a 1955 Chevy BelAir. Throughout his life he held numerous jobs from gas station attendant as a teen, to working at GAF/Ozalid. He joined the Painters Local 113(check number) in 1985 from where he ultimately retired from in 2009. Whatever his profession, he was always known for his strong work ethic.

Joe loved his family, pets, Chevrolet vehicles, and the NY Giants. Known for his quick wit, punny jokes and generous heart. Even in death his generosity lives on through organ donation.  Please consider being an organ donor like Joe.

Betty and Amber want to thank our neighbors Eddie Mills Sr. and Tom & A. Sandy Williams for their help in calling the ambulance. For the quick response of Chenango Ambulance and for all of the amazing Dr's and nurses who cared for him during his time at Wilson in the ICU and Northwing units. Drs Reddy, Montejo and Swarup. And special shout out to nurses Ellen, Ashlee and Theresa for your excellent care of Joe and in dealing with a big family watching and praying over him in his final days.
