Thomas F. Ampula, 79, of Endwell, NY passed away peacefully at Wilson Hospital on Saturday, August 8th, 2026. Thomas was born on May 18th, 1947, in Johnson City, NY. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Marlene, his parents Boleslaus and Mary Ampula, and several aunts, uncles and cousin.

Thomas is survived by his children Maria (Ron) Romanosky, Aaron, Shawn, and Elizabeth Ampula; his grandchildren Jake, Sam, and Mariella Romanosky; sister Rosemarie Fisk and brother-in-law David Fisk; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.

Thomas was a devoted husband, father, grandparent, and friend. He touched many lives as a teacher at Union-Endicott. He enjoyed trips to Frost Valley and The Bronx Zoo with his students and loved teaching science including Star Labs, building rockets, and any hands-on science activities. He also loved attending all of his children's and grandchildren's sporting events.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 14th at Church of the Holy Family at 3600 Phyllis Street, in Endwell. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of service. A private burial will be held at Calvary Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the staff at Wilson Hospital for their kind and compassionate care.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Thomas's name to the American Cancer Society.
