Obituary of Glenn E. Martin

Glenn E. Martin, 88, of Friendsville, PA, formerly of Vestal, passed away on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at his home. He was predeceased by his son, Raymond Martin, and his sister, Louise Potts. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Freda Martin, children; Gregory & Momoyo Martin, Los Angeles, CA, Glenna & Bill Tennant, Friendsville, PA, Jeffery & Wendi Martin, Liverpool, NY, grandchildren; Jackie, Aric, Billy, Mike, Alex & Cecil, great grandchildren; Ryan, Justin, Breanne & Addyson, brothers; Hugh Martin & Richard Martin, sister, Shirley VanDervort, numerous nieces and nephews. Glenn served in the U.S. Air Force during WWII. He retired from IBM Corp after 38 years of employment and went on to work at Vestal School District as a bus driver for 15 years. He loved to travel all over the world with his wife Freda and fish on the St. Lawrence River. Glenn mostly enjoyed going out to eat with family and friends. The family will receive friends at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, LLC, 765 Main St. Vestal, on Friday at 3 p.m. with a Memorial Service to follow at 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Silver Lake Fire Company, 3417 Quaker Lake Rd., Brackney, PA 18812 in memory of Glenn E. Martin.
