Obituary of Elsie Titus

Elsie Ruth Titus Heaven became a little sweeter on August 5, 2013 when the heavenly angels carried Elsie Ruth Titus into the loving arms of her savior, Jesus Christ. She was surrounded by her loving children as she entered into her eternal home. She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years Emory G Titus Sr. She is survived by her eight children, daughter and son-in-law Carolyn and Ted Hurlbut, son and daughter-in-law Gary and Karen Titus, son and daughter-in-law Dave and Sandra Titus, son and daughter-in-law Greg and Janet Titus, daughter and son-in-law Peggie and Steven Webb, son and daughter-in-law Emory III and Renee Titus, son and daughter-in-law Richard and Carolyn Titus, and son Jim. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She retired from IBM Endicott after many years of service. She was a faithful member of the Community Church of the Nazarene in Endicott for over 50 years supporting her husband in his many leadership positions. She had the gift of playing the piano and volunteered on many occasions both at the church and Willow Point nursing home where she resided for the past year. Her greatest joy and pleasure came from being with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She loved reading poetry and watching the many birds that gathered outside her window. Calling hours will be Friday, August 9, 2013 at Coleman and Daniels Funeral Home in Endicott from 5-7 p.m. Funeral will be at the Community Church of the Nazarene in Endicott, on Saturday, August 10, 2013. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the service begins at 11 a.m. The family would like to send out a special thank you to the entire staff of doctors and nurses at Wilson hospital South Tower 3, The staff and aides at Willow Point Nursing home, and Twin Orchards Baptist church.
