Obituary of Florance Warrick

Florence Esther Warrick Florence Esther Warrick, born February 20, 1927 in Connecticut died in her sleep on September 18, 2013. Predeceased by father Dennison R Caswell; mother Edythe M Partridge; husband Fred Warrick; sister Elaine Taylor. Having lost her mother at a young age Flo was raised by her father in a poor rural town in Connecticut. We all new she was a little rough around the edges but she had a heart of gold. She was always baking goodies for families in her community and was the sweet old lady who would hand the younger children a dollar so, they could go buy something. She loved gardening, especially her flowers, reading and ceramics. She wrote to several pen pals around the world. She never forgot a birthday or anniversary and sent countless cards and notes to friends as well as strangers. She never had children but "adopted" her friend and neighbor Mary Jo Leonard and her children Emily, Sarah and Amanda as her family. She had many friends at Long Meadows Senior housing where she has lived for the past several years. She leaves many good friends behind especially Marilyn Lewis, Jeanne Worden, Linda Kemmerer, Dorothy Belknap and others. Special thanks to Dr. Brian Beach, his office staff and the Owego Emergency Squad for their kindness and patience. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Owego Emergency Squad or to an animal shelter of your choice. Services will be at the Owego Church of the Nazarene on Tuesday, September 24th at 11:00 AM 3732 Waverly Rd , Owego, NY 13827. Burial at Vestal Park, Main Street, Vestal, New York.
