Obituary of Mabel B. Bodie

Mabel (Burbank) Bodie Of Endicott Mabel (Burbank) Bodie, 86, passed away Sunday, December 2, 2007, at the Ideal Senior Living Center. Mabel was predeceased by her parents, Leroy and Lavina Burbank; her sister, Mildred Dunbar; her brother, Edward Brubank; and three infant brothers. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Bonnie and David Harvey, Endicott, Beverly and Raymond Cosimano, Endicott; five grandchildren, their spouses, and three great-grandsons, Karel, Drew, Bradley and Nathan James, Baldwinsville, Todd and Denise Harvey, Phoenix, Arizona, Beth, Guy and Matthew Margallo, El Segundo, California, Rachel Cosimano, Endicott; Sarah Cosimano, serving the Peace Corps in Lesotho, Africa; nieces and nephews, Joanne Bundy, Brackney, PA., Ken (Lynda) Burbank, Glen Aubrey, Jackie (Don) Annis, Endicott, Linda Landis, Endicott; special aunt, Eva Bookstaver; lifelong friend, Ellamae Albeck; several cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews, and many dear friends. Prior to Mabels retirement, she worked as a secretary in the UE School District. She was a faithful member of Central United Methodist Church for 75 years, Tri-Ms Class, United Methodist Women, Dorcas Interest Group and Retired Teachers. She dearly loved her family and her church. Her caring, nurturing, supporting ways will be remembered by all who knew and loved her. Mabels family thanks the staff on Ross 1 and Seton 3 at Lourdes Hospital, Dr Rai, Dr. Barrett and Brenda, Dr. Berkowitz, and all her caregivers at Ideal Senior Living Center. A Memorial Service celebrating Mabels life will be held on Saturday, December 8, at 3:00 P.M. at Central United Methodist Church, 17 Nanticoke Ave., Endicott with the Reverend Douglas Clark, Pastor of Mabels Church, officiating. The family will receive friends in the church lounge from 2:00 P.M. until the time of service.
