Obituary of Virginia R. Leyshon

Virginia R. Leyshon, 82, joined her husband Bob on Thursday, May 11, 2017. She was predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law, Anabel (Jack) Evans, brother and sister-in-law, William (Carmel) Richmond, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Tom (Phyllis) Leyshon, her niece, Judy Mancuso, and two nephews, Gary Richmond and Jeffrey Leyshon. She is survived by her daughters; Robyn (Doug) Henderson, Laurie Saeman, Amy Millard, grandchildren; Jason, Jessica, Heather, Melanie, Connor and Devin, great grandchildren; Cameron, Colton and Harper, sister-in-law, Anna (Bill) Hall, and numerous nieces and nephews. Virginia was long time a member of Vestal United Methodist Church and the Dorcas Circle. She was an avid Red Sox Baseball and Duke Basketball fan. We know mom will be watching over us every time we see a cardinal. The family would like to thank the staff of James G. Johnston Memorial Nursing Home, especially Unit 1, for their love and support. A funeral service will be held at the Vestal United Methodist Church, 328 Main St. Vestal, on Tuesday at 2 p.m. with Pastor Mike Willis officiating. Burial will follow in Vestal Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, LLC, 765 Main St. Vestal, on Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make memorial contributions to the Vestal United Methodist Church Youth Fund, 328 Main St. Vestal, NY 13850, in memory of Virginia R. Leyshon.
