Jones, his children Jolene Jones (Betsy) and Jeffrey Jones (Kathleen), his sisters Maureen Oktisuk and Peggy Brocious, and brothers Larry Jones (Rose) and John Jones (Noreen) as well as many nieces and nephews. Bill was born November 16, 1939, in Plymouth Pennsylvania where he grew up and graduated from Harter High School. While in high school he met and married his wife and later moved to New York to settle down. He was employed for Grand Union for over 35 years of service before retiring. Bill was an active life member of the Endicott Church of the Nazarene church serving many roles throughout the years. Bill kept busy after retirement golfing, bowling, and tending to his flowers and plants. Bill liked to travel spending time in Lancaster, Florida, Ocean City, and California as well as a special trip with his wife to Hawaii. Bill was a gentle soul content and happy with the simple pleasures that life offered and always willing to help friends and neighbors. A celebration of his life will take place on Saturday March 9th, 2024, at 1 PM at the Endicott Church of the Nazarene on route 26 in Endicott, NY. Prior to the service the family will receive friends from 11 AM until service time. Services will be officiated by Rev. Keith Hardy and Rev. Daniel Eddings. The family would like to extend their deepest and sincere gratitude to all the staff at Bridgewater Center for Rehabilitation Home for their time and care of Bill over the past several months.
